Application examples

In the foreword, I would like to briefly point out that this page is intended to contribute to understanding, but does not replace reading the main pages.

The main areas of application for our projectors are:

  • To clearly define hazardous and safety-critical areas using modern lighting technology, make them safer and prevent accidents.
  • To optimize production and logistics processes and clearly define different areas on the ground.
  • Provide instructions, warnings and prohibitions that do not lose their meaning due to weather, dirt or wear and tear.

Example A:

An intersection is difficult to see, both for people and for forklift drivers.
One option to resolve this situation as clearly as possible is to display a „Caution forklift“ or „Stop“ symbol to the pedestrian at the moment the forklift arrives. This is similar to a traffic light situation in road traffic, which always works better than if there were only static signs.
Of course, you could also give the pedestrian priority and display a red line for the forklift truck, for example. This can later change back to green as soon as the pedestrian has left the area. You can also indicate to the forklift driver to „drive at walking pace“ – there are countless possibilities for clearly and comprehensibly resolving a wide variety of hazardous situations.
Whether you display the output permanently or have it fade in and out via intelligent radar/infrared sensors – a great many things are possible.

Examplel B:

You want to clearly separate production and/or storage areas for goods, machines, etc. from walkways or driveways
With our projectors, you can clearly define where pedestrians, forklifts and AGVs must or must not walk or drive in your hall. You determine where goods are to be parked and where free areas on the floor are to be marked. These situations can also be solved with lighting technology.

These are just 2 of countless examples of many possible applications.

Advantages of L-TEC and S-TEC projectors:

The optics (outputs) of the projectors are not tied to the projector, but can be exchanged flexibly. If you have previously issued „Caution forklift“, you can simply swap the optics and soon issue „Pedestrians prohibited“ (or anything else you can think of).

If you want to move a marking line that defines a work or production area, e.g. one meter to the left, you don’t need to repaint anything, move anything out of the way, etc. A quick movement of the projector changes the position in no time at all. We have also recently started offering line projectors that can change color from green to red. They can also flash when switching (or whenever you want). The output then resembles a traffic light situation.

Our projectors can be controlled using anything from a simple on/off switch to automated control using intelligent radar/infrared sensors – but also via your own BUS system. A separate control module can also be used to issue a visual warning (e.g. flashing of the projection). Last but not least, you can also control our projectors in a modern environment via the Internet/Wifi.
